Snowball Technology was founded in 2013 by a core team from NXP Semiconductors' Secure Service division and has since operated as a strategic partner of NXP. Starting with mobile wallets, transit cards, and digital car keys, the company has built deep expertise in digital credentials and cryptographic infrastructure, issuing more than 120 million digital credentials to date.

Today, powered by OnBoard™ IoT Security (OBIS), this proven cryptographic infrastructure has been extended to IoT device security. While enabling flexible management across global supply chains, OBIS provides end-to-end capabilities and traceability for secure provisioning of device firmware, keys, and certificates, as well as secure updates, after-sales services, and device retirement.
